The Siachen Glacier, located in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas, is known as ‘white paper’. It is also known as a‘white snake’. Lying inside a rock-strewn trough roughly 2 kilometers wide, the glacier is covered with snow in the middle. The glacier’s central region is covered with snow, and that snow along with the rest of the icy surface appear white.
