The Jharkhand Tejaswini Scheme was launched in 2017 with financial assistance from the World Bank. The scheme had a total cost of $90 million, including a $63 million contribution from the World Bank. It aimed to empower adolescent girls aged 14-24 in 17 districts of Jharkhand through skills training, education, and self-employment. The scheme was implemented by the Jharkhand Women Development Society (JWDS) and concluded on June 30, 2021.
