Notes: The last ruler of the Shunga dynasty was Devabhuti. He was assassinated by his own minister Vasudeva Kanva who founded Kanva Dynasty. Kanvas ruled for a shorter duration of 45 years. They considered themselves as the descendants of Rishi Kanva.
