Notes: Allasani Peddanna was the chief poet (Ashtadiggajalu) in Krishna Deva Raya's Vijayanagara court during the early 16th century. He authored Manucharitam, a Telugu prabandha based on an episode from the Markandeya Purana. The work is also known as Manu Charitramu or Swaarochisha Manu Sambhavam and is one of the Pancha Kavyas of Telugu literature.
