Notes: Recently, the Government of India notified rules for “Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).” An Access Pass is now mandatory for mechanized and large-sized motorized fishing vessels. The Access Pass can be obtained through the online ReALCRaft Portal (Registration And Licensing of Fishing Craft). ReALCRaft is a national online platform developed using open-source technology. It is developed by the Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The portal offers web-based, citizen-friendly services for registration, licensing, and ownership transfer of fishing vessels.
