Dimna Lake is located 13-15 km from Jamshedpur city in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district near Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary. It was constructed in 1944 by Tata Steel as an artificial reservoir on Dimna Nala, a tributary of the Kharkai River. The lake covers approximately 5.5 km² with a water capacity of 120 lakh cubic feet. It serves as the primary drinking water source for Jamshedpur and is popular for boating and picnics. Ropar Lake is in Punjab, Nakti Lake is in Ranchi, and Vembnad Lake is in Kerala.
