The Pat region is a flat-topped plateau at 2500-3600 feet in Jharkhand. It covers Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, and Khunti districts. Lohardaga has prominent Pat hilltops in the western hilly tracts. Sahebganj district, located in the Santhal Pargana division's Central and North Eastern Plateau Zone, does not have any Pat region expansion.
