Notes: A Liquid-in-Glass Thermometers a glass capillary tube with a liquid-filled bulb at one end. The liquid that is contained within the thermometer is commonly mercury or pure ethanol (alcohol). Unlike the mercury-in-glass thermometer, alcohol thermometer is less toxic and will evaporate quickly.
