Vadhvan Port, Maharashtra
Vadhvan Port in Palghar, Maharashtra, is India's first offshore deep seaport built on an artificial island, inaugurated in 2024. It allows Ultra Large Container Ships and is developed under the Sagarmala project, becoming the nation’s second Mother Port after Vizhinjam. Designed by Surendra Sharma in 2015.
