Prachitgad Fort, built in 1404 in Maharashtra's Sahyadri range, was captured by Shivaji in 1660 through Shirke's betrayal. It involved Tanaji Malusare leading 1000 soldiers. The fort lies at the confluence of Sangli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, and Satara districts, and saw subsequent British capture in 1818.
