established diplomatic relations with the Mughal Emperor Akbar and envoys were exchanged with Mughals during his reign. He was the 5th Sultan of Bijapur Sultanate. He abandoned the Sunni practices and reintroduced the Shi'ah Khutbah and other practices on the day of his coronation. He granted full freedom to Persian doctors of religion to preach the Shi’ah doctrine and they were paid by the State for their missionary activities. He subverted all the dogmatic experiments which his father had practiced.
