Mandangad Fort, situated in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, was constructed in the 12th century by King Bhoja II of the Shilahara dynasty. It later came under the rule of various powers, including the Adilshahi, the Marathas under Shivaji Maharaj, Kanhoji Angre, and finally the British in 1818.
