India hosted the BIMSTEC Young Leaders’ Summit in Guwahati, Assam, from September 9–11, 2025. The event was organised with Bharat Scouts and Guides and inaugurated by Assam Governor. More than 80 participants from all BIMSTEC countries joined, representing politics, business, socio-cultural and civil society sectors. The summit highlighted India’s North East as a land bridge for Bay of Bengal connectivity. It is part of the 21-point action plan announced at the 6th BIMSTEC Summit and aligns with Neighborhood First, Act East, and Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions (MAHASAGAR) visions.
