The Winter Olympic Games is a major international multi-sport event held once every four years for sports practised on snow and ice. The first Winter Olympic Games, the 1924 Winter Olympics, were held in Chamonix, France. They have been held four times in the United States 1932, 1960, 1980, and 2002.
