Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC)
The Indian Science Congress (ISC), established in 1914, was India’s premier platform for scientists, researchers, and policymakers. ISC was inaugurated annually by the Prime Minister and brought together global and Indian experts. In recent years, ISC faced effectiveness concerns, controversies, and institutional disputes, reducing its relevance. The government has replaced ISC with the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC). First edition of ESTIC is scheduled for November 2025 in New Delhi. ESTIC aims to be a structured, innovation-driven forum aligned with national priorities like Viksit Bharat 2047. It marks a historic transition in India’s science policy ecosystem.
