Notes: The public in India decided to boycott the Simon Commission and the slogan "Go back Simon Commission" became popular. The Commission, composed solely of British members, was met with black flag protests wherever it went. When it visited Madras on February 3rd, 1928, the slogan was given by Prakasam Pantulu. Prakasam showcased great courage in opposing the commission, which led him to earn the title "Andhra Kesari" (the Lion of Andhra).
