Answer: Jharkhand
Notes: Main deposits (of Mangnese) fall in Odisha, followed by Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa and Andhra Pradesh. Minor occurrences of manganese are in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Of the total production of manganese ore in 2009-10, Orissa contributed25%, Maharashtra 24%, Madhya Pradesh 25%, Karnataka 13% and Andhra Pradesh 10%. The remaining 2% was jointly shared by Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Jharkhand.
