Zone I and Zone II
Agro-climatic zones of India are flood prone. Four main Agro-climatic zones have been identified in Bihar on the basis of soil characterization, rainfall, temperature and terrain. Zone I is situated in the north-western part of the state whereas Zone II is located in the north-eastern part. Agro Climatic Zones I and II are located north of the river Ganges. Zone-I is North Alluvial Plain and Zone-II is north East Alluvial Plain.
