Notes: Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena inaugurated the Amrut Biodiversity Park near the Commonwealth Games Village in Delhi. Built under the Delhi Development Authority’s Yamuna Floodplain Restoration initiative, it is a joint project with CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. The park spans 115 hectares along National Highway 24. It has 14,500 native plants and 3,20,000 riverine grasses, including blue panic grass and sarkanda. It is themed on India’s freedom struggle, with tracks named after events like Dandi March and Azad Hind Fauj.
