Notes: Teichoic acid is found within the cell wall of most Gram-positive bacteria. It appears to extend to the surface of the peptidoglycan layer, and species in the genera Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Bacillus, Clostridium, Corynebacterium and Listeria.
