In this battle, the British East India Company defeated the joint army of Nawab Mir Qasim of Bengal, Nawab Shuja-ud-Daulah of Awadh and Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II and the Treaty of Allahabad was signed. After the battle, Mir Jafar was again became the Nawab of Bengal.
