Notes: The National Textiles Ministers’ Conference 2026 has been inaugurated in Guwahati, Assam, organised by the Ministry of Textiles in collaboration with the Government of Assam. The theme of the two-day conference is “India’s Textiles: Weaving Growth, Heritage & Innovation”. It brings together Textile Ministers and senior officials from States and Union Territories to deliberate on policy, investment, sustainability, exports, infrastructure, and technological advancement in textiles. The conference aims to strengthen Centre–State collaboration and create a roadmap for a competitive, sustainable, and inclusive textile sector.
