Cash Management Bills are short-term debt instruments issued by the Reserve Bank of India. The maximum maturity period for these bills is up to 91 days. The actual maturity is flexible but cannot exceed 91 days. CMBs are used to meet temporary mismatches in government cash flows. The first issuance of CMBs was in May 2010.
