Nakkal is an Indian folk dance composed by Nakkal. The word copy is derived from the Persian word 'nakal'. This dance form is very popular in the villages of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from entertainment, simulation provides a new dimension to deal with many problems. It subtly and ironically portrays the shadows it casts on our lives. Mimicry is generally practiced by the Mirasi, Nakal and Bhand communities.
