Notes: The Someshwar range of Bihar is dated between the Pliocene and Pleistocene epochs. The Doon and Someshwar fold ranges in the north of West Champaran, inspired by the Shivalik movement, emerged from the tectonic geology of mountain formation between the Pliocene of the third kalpa of the new Jiva Mahakalpa and the Pleistocene epoch of the fourth kalpa.
