Irminger Current is located in this sea. The Denmark Strait, between Greenland and Iceland, connects the Irminger Sea to the Greenland Sea. In Cape Farewell, the southernmost tip of Greenland, Irminger Sea meets the Labrador Sea. Irminger Sea is one of the main fishing areas of the Rose Fish.
