K2 (Godwin Austen)
Mount K2, located in Jammu and Kashmir and also known as Godwin-Austen, is the highest peak of India. The Himalayas range is one of the youngest mountain ranges in the world and consists of many of the highest peaks in the World. Mount Godwin Austen is called locally Dapsang or Chogori, the world's second highest peak (28,251 feet [8,611 metres]), second only to Mount Everest.
