Notes: Jog Falls, located in the southern state of Karnataka, is India's highest plunge waterfall. Formed by the Sharavathi River, it falls from a height of 253 meters (829 ft). Also known as Gerusoppe falls, Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi, it consists of four distinct cascades namely, Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket. It is interesting to note that the Kunchikal Falls is the highest waterfall in India and the second highest in Asia. It's situated near Agumbe in Shimoga district of Karnataka, a region known for its heavy rainfall, unique flora and fauna.
