Answer: Mathura
Notes: India's first plant to produce diesel from plastic waste was inaugurated in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on October 4, 2019. The plant was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Hema Malini and is expected to be operational by October 11, 2019. The plant is a public-private partnership and is expected to use nearly 6 tonnes of plastic each day. The plant was inaugurated to help with the growing problem of plastic waste and to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of a Swachh Bharat Mission. The plant uses pyrolysis, a process that converts large hydrocarbon chains in plastic to smaller hydrocarbon chains. The plastic is heated to a high temperature (350–400 °C). The products of this process are fuel oil and non-condensable fractions.
