Decline of Vijayanagara Empire
Vijayanagara Empire had to continuously fight the Bahamani Kingdoms and its successor states- Ahmadnagar, Bijapur and Golconda, etc. Often, Vijayanagara Kingdom's rulers and ministers played these successor states against each other. Eventually, these states combined together to inflict a crushing defeat on the Vijayanagara at Bannihatti, near Talikota, in 1565 CE.
