Notes: Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar is a nationwide coastal cleanup campaign aimed at promoting marine conservation and public participation in reducing marine litter. The campaign was launched in 2022 as an inter-ministerial initiative for cleaning India’s coastal areas and spreading awareness about ocean pollution. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and is implemented under the PRITHVI Scheme with support from the National Centre for Coastal Research.
