The Siamese Fireback, also known by its scientific name Lophura diardi, is the national bird of Thailand. It has been spotted for the first time in the forests of Ranikhet, Uttarakhand, by a local bird enthusiast. This bird is usually found in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It prefers dense evergreen forests and deciduous woodlands, usually in humid and less disturbed areas. It is listed as Least Concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
