A rainbow is an optical phenomenon that is caused by dispersion, refraction and reflection of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It is caused by light being refracted (bent), dispersed and then finally reflected from back surface to be seen by viewer. To watch rainbow the position of sun has viewer and water droplets in the front. In a rainbow, rains drops in the air cuts as a tiny prisms.
