Notes: Pampa Sarovar is a lake in the Koppal district near Hampi in the state of Karnataka. It is to the south of the River Tungabhadra and it is one of the five sacred sarovars, or lakes in India. According to Hindu theology, there are five sacred lakes which are collectively called Panch Sarovar. They are Bindu Sarovar, Mansarovar, Pampa Sarovar, Narayan Sarovar and Pushkar Sarovar.
