Notes: A Supreme Court-appointed committee has given conditional approval for constructing the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) headquarters in the ecologically sensitive Morphological Ridge area of Delhi. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is a specialized disaster response force under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in India. It was constituted under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, after establishing the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Its mandate includes responding to natural and man-made disasters, including floods, earthquakes, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) emergencies. The motto is “Aapda Seva Sadaiv Sarvatra” meaning disaster service always, everywhere.
