Notes: The Kali River which is also known as Kaali Nadi is a river that flows through the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. This river supports the livelihoods of tens of thousands of people including the fishermen situated on the coast of Karwar. Many dams are built across this river for the purpose of electricity generation. The Supa Dam at Ganeshgudi is one such important dam which is built across the Kali River. This river runs for 184 kilometres before joining Arabian Sea.
