Jadupetia painting, also known as Jadopatia, is a traditional scroll art form of the Santhal tribe. It is primarily practiced in Dumka district of Jharkhand. The artists, called Chitrakars or Jadopatias, create paintings using natural colors on scrolls depicting tribal myths and rituals. This art form is linked closely to the Baha festival and life cycle events in the Santhal community. Dumka is part of the Santhal Parganas, which is historically associated with this painting style.
