Notes: Bihar Vidyapeeth college was established in 1921. It was established by Mahatma Gandhi in Patna. The institute was build on land donated by freedom fighter and lawyer Maulana Mazharul Haq, a prominent Congress leader. Maulana Mazharul Haque was nominated as the first Chancellor and Shri Braj Kishore Prasad was nominated as the first Vice chancellor of Bihar Vidyapeeth. They were nominated by Mahatma Gandhi.
