Notes: The Jhelum River originates from Verinag Spring in the Pir Panjal Range, Kashmir Valley, at about 1,900 metres altitude. It flows through Srinagar and Wular Lake, cutting through the Pir Panjal below Baramulla before entering Pakistan. It is also known as the Vitasta.
