Notes: Statement 1 is incorrect. The ISO 216 international paper size series is based on A0, which has an area of 1 square meter (1 m² or 10,000 cm²), not 0.5 cm². Statement 2 is also incorrect. A4 paper is 1/16th of the area of A0 paper, not 1/8th. Each size in the series halves the area of the previous size, starting from A0 at 1 m², making A4 one sixteenth.
