Excerpts of the wars are: a) First Carnatic (1744-48) War: French defeated British forces and the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle was signed.   b) Second Carnatic War (1749-54): Robert Clive led British forces defeated Dupleix led French forces and the Treaty of Pondicherry was signed c) Third Carnatic War ( 1757-63): The ambitions of French to create a colonial empire in India vanished and the Treaty of Paris was signed.
