Q. ‘Astana’ is the new Capital of which country?
Answer: Kazakhstan
Notes: Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a law limiting presidential terms and reverting to the old name of the country’s capital to Astana. The bill extends presidential mandates to a seven-year term, from five. It also bars any president from running for a second term in office. The bill also reinstated the capital’s name to Astana, whose name was changed to Nur-Sultan in 2019, in honour of outgoing President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
