Mahasthan (pre-Asokan Mauryan Inscription) inscription was found at Mahasthangarh in the Bogra district of Bangladesh. The mahamatta of Pundranagara is described as being in charge of measures for famine relief.
Lampaka (Aramaic inscription) was found at the site of Lampaka or Lambaka generally identified with the modern Lamghan on the northern bank of the Kabul river near Jalalabad. The inscription has been connected with the Asokan period on the basis of the text referring to the setting up of a pillar inscription by Devanampriya.
Nigali-Sagar (Pillar Inscription) was originally situated near the stupa of Buddha Konakamana to record. It is now near Rummindei, in Nepal.
Shabazgarhi (Major rock edicts, inscribed in Kharosthi) is near Mardan in the Yusufzai area of Peshawar.
Manshera (Major Rock Edicts inscribed in Kharosthi) site is that of a village in the Hazara district of the north-west province of Pakistan.
