Q. Aranmula Kannadi is a GI tag protected product of Kerala. It is a ________?
Answer: Handicraft
Notes: Aranmula Kannadi is a handicraft and the second Geographical Indication (GI) tag in India. It is a handmade metal-alloy mirror made in the town of Aranmula in Kerala. The name literally means "Aranmula mirror". The Aranmula Kannadi is unique because it is a front-reflecting metal mirror. This is different from regular glass mirrors, which reflect from the back surface. The Aranmula Kannadi is one of the eight auspicious things, or Ashtamangalyam, used in a Kerala wedding. The Aranmula Kannadi was given a GI tag in 2004-05. The British Museum in London has a 45 centimeter tall Aranmula mirror in its collection.
