Notes: Almatti Dam, which is also known as the Lal Bahadur Shastri Dam is a hydroelectric project situated on the Krishna River in North Karnataka. This project was completed in July 2005 in less than 48 months. 560 MU (or GWh) is the target annual electric output of the dam. Upper Krishna Irrigation Project’s main reservoirs the Alamatti Dam; the 290 MW power station is located on the right side of the Almatti Dam. This dam is located on the edge of Bagalkot and Bijapur districts.
