Notes: Abul fazl was introduced to Akbar towards the close of 1574 and was enlisted as a Mansabdar. In 1589, at the instance of Akbar, Abul Fazal started the writing of Akbarnama which is the most detailed history of the reign of Akbar. Akbarnama was initially completed in 1596, but its account was later continued up to 1601.
