Razia Sultana (1236-1240) was the first female Muslim ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, daughter of Shams-uddin Iltutmish. She defied gender norms by dressing as a man and leading troops. Razia promoted education through schools and libraries but faced opposition from nobility, leading to her downfall.
