Nal Se Jal Scheme

Nal Se Jal scheme was launched in 2019 by the Central government for providing drinking water supply to all rural households by 2024. The Centre has allocated Rs.2.08 lakh crore for this initiative. The rest of the outlay comes from the state governments. Gujarat CM recently announced that the state would reach the 2024 target by next year. The state is yet to cover 17 lakh households under this scheme.
