Abhidhana Chintamani

Abhidhana Chintamani is a vocabulary of the Jain Doctrines written by Hemachandra or Hemachandracharya. Acharya Hemachandra was a 11th, 12th century Jain scholar, poet, and polymath who wrote on grammar, philosophy, prosody, and contemporary history. He was given the title Kalikāl Sarvagya "all-knowing of the Kali Yuga". Hemachandra also wrote Kavyanushasana- the poetics or hand book of poetry/manual of poetry, Desinamamala- a list of words of local origin, Siddha-haima-shabdanushasana: Prakrit and Apabhramsha grammars and Dvyashraya-Mahakavya
