Response of foreign countries on article 370
While Pakistan has tried to drum up international support in its favor in view of the abrogation of the Article 370, its efforts have borne little fruit as most countries have decided to stedfastly back India and have refused to take a call in this issue.
What the other countries have said?
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, they have stated that the Indian government?s decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution which removes the special privileges for the state of Jammu and Kashmir is an ?internal matter? and Bangladesh has no locus standi to comment on the issue.
In a statement made by the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, he has said that the Kashmir issue is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan and has asked them to resolve their differences over the disputed territory via a political dialogue and not take any steps that may promote tensions in the region.
The Russian Federation has also asked the nations of India and Pakistan to not allow the worsening of the situation in Kashmir and has refused to meddle in the crisis as it called the scrapping of the Article 370 as a move “within the framework of Indian Constitution”.
